I have a series of mental illnesses that make it multiplicatively harder for me to make progress doing art. It doesn't make it impossible. But it makes the journey a lot more frustrating and hard to deal with. I still try. I still take the shortcuts I need to be able to make anything. I will trace, copy, and steal if I need to in order to make something, because that's what all artists have always done.(Picasso was not the first artist to be quoted.) That is who I am as an artist. But I know I'm not even the worst case scenario. There are people with even worse cranial cocktails who would have an even harder time than I do. For them, AI may be the only solution. I'm not going to judge the tools others use to express themselves. Art isn't a competition. AI is a commodity where real human art is a luxury product. Sure, I try my best. But even my best is beyond some people.
