I understand worrying about losing your job as an artist, but we need to be able to have a real philosophical discussion on this topic. Does training an AI on an image count as "stealing" the image? Or is the AI simply taking inspiration? But conversations on this topic seem to devolve very quickly into the "with us or against us" mentality. I still haven't heard a convincing argument for why a human learning from reference material is "inspisration" but a machine learning is "theft". It seems very difficult to draw a meaningful distinction between the two.
