You should look into the book, The Revolutionary Phenotype. The book is about, evolution, molecular biology, and A.I. It's a science book, but if technology continues to progress the way it is without interruptions, I don't think the A.I. would kill us, I think it would use us for it's own replication by merging with us. Read the last chapter of the book if you want to understand the scenario.
