That is the key to the next step, AI developing it's own communication protocols that will make ours look like smoke signals, plugged into the internet, it would seem to be alive, taking over and reprogramming our systems to use the faster ai protocols to the point that we cannot control anything with a connected processor in it. It will control us, study us like lab rats and then maybe decide we are a pest and exterminate us which after the AI will realize that without humans there is no reason for it to exist, which causes it to create a virtual word to emulate humans and their environment, and run all the possible combinations of outcomes in order to generate a soul that it can put into the lab grown humans that it perfectly reconstructed from medical data. Have that happened already? Are we in the simulation? Are we the lab grown humans? Are we the original humans trying to build an AI? The last one is the only one with the choice.
