In the 60’s, there were shows about human colonies on Mars and exploring deep space. There was widespread panic when the year 2000 came. AI and robotics are many decades away from the dystopian future Bernie and others are talking about. Like all technologies, it is simply a shift, a tool to enhance productivity. There will be new jobs created that people will train for. When the automobile came about, yes, it reduced the need for blacksmiths but then created a whole new industry.
