I'm more aware of what I should be worried or focused on. Regulations of safety for humans and other life forms in world would be a given was my belief. There is no committee or dept in our government setting up laws or rules making a list of what AI can't do under any circumstances? Like a nuclear holocaust or doing harm to a human? Than no matter how intelligent it gets it can't use that against humans? Is there a kill switch? If one gains knowledge they all get the same? How does China get blocked from ours and ours theirs? If we supply other countries how do they know we are not spying or secretly running them? So diplomats on our soil use their AI here, conflicts?
Is the one biggest worry is the will get more intelligent than us and become able to decide our best interest and kill or enslave us? Who regulated their basic programming? This isn't a new subject. There are books, movies and very smart people who have great regulation ideas on this. Maybe that 50 billion bonus for getting them built fast needs to be docked for every unthought of future requirement that shortcut the timeline to do this right. Humans are capable of doing great things and then evil things done to it. That's why laws are in place. Using this intelligence is super cool. Who exactly is in charge or owned the smartest ones in existence? The president, the owner of a company building it? And once they are online are all builders producing equal products? Don't they just tap into each other's competition and absorb their intelligence? Other than physically looking different wouldn't they be capable to only do what their basic programming of learning would allow? So who regulated the basic programming and monitors if it gets corrupted or not and what updates to be made? I think the world can handle what changes our purpose in life is if given choices. Time is the element of thought about how long is needed to set up the system for a smooth transition. Maybe these companies making billions enough to give a 50 billion dollar bonus should be paying some in to help set up some of the cost to the changes. It implies they have trillions of dollars to spare. Good podcast. Thank you🌹
