The company doesn't exist to provide people with pay and benefits. It exists to make a profit. If it can do that by eliminating the drivers then it will. Ai is the future and is unstoppable.
It's going to eliminate just about all driving jobs. Uber would love nothing more than to get rid of it's drivers too. In the near future you will not even own a car. You will have an app on your phone and just order a driverless car to take you everywhere.
The automated cars will be made in the automated factory and all your products will be delivered by them and the robots.
But, there is a silver lining...
Everything you watch will soon be made by Ai. Then all the "performers", who are actually leftist activists, that do press tours saying things which alienate the customer base and cause the movie to flop will be out of a job as well. The studios will then be able to make actual entertainment instead of political statements.
