This is a strawman. Nobody is worried AI will make them financially free lmao. They're worried that they will live in poverty because they're no longer able to provide for themselves...like you mentioned. More and more people will be fighting over fewer and fewer jobs, which would lead to disaster without some kind of program like UBI
