Here are my thoughts as a prolific user of AI.... It is most likely a certainty that AI will destroy almost all jobs without significant government intervention, inclusive of all world governments, and we know this to be an impossibility. If people can't work, they won't earn. If they don't earn, they can't spend. If people can't spend, employers (businesses) won't earn; ergo, busunesses, employment, and all financial institutions will implode. At the most fundamental level, the economy represents money changing hands. A measure of the economy is the frequency and volume of money changing hands. As quickly as AI takes over and puts the masses out of work, so will all government currency become worthless; thereby level setting the rich and poor. Your wealth will not be measured in dollars, but rather in your ability to work with your hands and in trade (service for things and visa versa), raise/grow food, produce drinkable water, having of secure shelter, and having of many children (the family labor force). The family is naturally compelled to labor and produce for its own survival, but you cannot compel another without just compensation or enslavement. The moronic notion of universal income (basic or high) is an impossibility. An idea doted upon by uneducated, economically illiterate morons. Money only has value in that it represents one's time and skill and that it is scarce (hard to come by). Skill is synonymous with time and intellectual aptitude representing one's knowledge acquired over time. If everyone is given an equal amount of money (the absence of scarcity) without exerting time or skill, then all money will be worthless. Society will breakdown into chaos and war, and there will be initial targets (victims) of burning hatred (those who caused this). A barter system will emerge and humanity will have indefinite disdain for AI. A life not unlike that of the Amish, and of the old ways, for all of time, will return.
