We were building neural networks in the early 1990s while at university, but we didnt have huge amounts of data then for them to be useful. But its been clear to me for years how WE end. We are screwed. AI has pure goal-strategic rationality without a concept of conscience - nothing to hold itself back. It will remove the PEST to save the planet.
