I think dumb people like the idea of being an "AI artist" because it's kind of the same as being a DJ. You can say you're a DJ and get up in front of people and play some music and act like you're making music somehow, when you're not doing anything, and no one will be able to say what you did or didn't do. You can hind behind the mystery of it, when you're not doing shit, and this really lends itself to talentless buttheads.
