There are 100 fallacies and unconscious observations in this "Race to A.I. superintelligence" propaganda. 1. All A.I. data is assessed and quantified from human comprehension of a 3D world. But where do spicy nacho doritos come from? Where do spoons and forks come from? Blue jeans, fire, etc. Developmental inconvenience: children help young parents become less selfish,more patient , etc. Walking instead of driving and/or teleporting is beneficially inconvenient to legs , heart, skin etc. External values vs. Internal values There are 3 implications to this A.I. race also. 1. A simulation world ( matrix) will be the mandated assimilation. 2. Opportunism is the driving unconscious influence of all these discussed evils. 3. 3d/4dimensional time-space is only a fraction of the light spectrum and yet all that is known by humanity ( math, healthcare, child labor) is based on that fraction of perceived light. The major implication here is that there is more transcendent perceptions and design that is available ( infinitely more). Superintelligence could NEVER correct climate in this reality, nor could it resolve international war tensions because hate/fear and love/faith are irrational quantifications. The only correction avaliable would be assimilation into a controlled environment. Bonus: playing chess with a superintelligence would be pointless without the " why".
