Every computer process could be replicated with water, pipes and valves. If we entertain the idea of AI self-awareness, imagine a massive system of water, pipes and valves —planet-sized and beyond. If we accept that a computer, quantum or otherwise, can have consciousness, then mustn't a vast water system, at the right scale, correlate with inner life like your brain? Is there a 'conscious experience' for pipes, valves, and water combined? If you keep on adding pipes, valves and water to it, at some point the system will suddenly make the jump to being conscious.🤔💭
