I agree that current AI models are designed in such a way that makes it essentially impossible to get anywhere without theft.
However, we the fact that the human brain exists means that it is still physically possible to create a tool that can do those those things.
I mean, words like ”creativity” are literally defined by the capability of pre-existing himan intelligence.
So yes, I think that the current branch of machine learning is doomed to fail, but I think governments will keep on investing into AI beyond that, until we find a path that’s actually economically viable, and hopefully legally and morally viable as well.
