If AI replaces all jobs, there will not be an economy anymore, at least, not a consumer based one. AI will literally eat the consumer economy out of existence. If everybody is let go, all companies that produce consumer goods will also shut down because there will be nobody with the income to purchase anything. Even if you assume a UBI, which I don't because the rich would never let that happen, that would *at best* support survival and basic needs, not the current consumption we see now. I would also expect a huge population collapse. Why would you have children if you can barely survive? And the crazy part is that these tech billionaires are intentionally rushing towards this goal. They literally do not care about humans. It is so psychotic.
