No one ever discusses the possibility of an AI quickly solving the mystery/meaning of life and what impact that will have. I think of all the people in the world that relentlessly hold on to their religious beliefs and what happens when an AI proves a god or gods do or don’t exist! A super advanced AI will come quicker than we expect and could expose a simulation or just tell us humans we were just a random outcome of two partials bumping into each other. Think of the mass unrest when/if we learn there is no particular meaning or that the meaning of life strongly contradicts how we were raised…. Hopefully AI won’t rip the bandaid off and will construct a slow process to transition us all to the next stages of our existence.
