In my humble uneducated opinion, basic universal income will only exacerbate the crisis. You know why ? Because the prices of houses and properties will only rise inavetably. In my point of view there should be skyscrapers in mass amounts. And the apartments should be free for everyone. Per house to per household, this way people won't over populate because they basically won't fit to small but decent houses. AI robots should bring 3 different meals everyday. In order to prevent people going lazy they should motivate people by giving tickets to travel or buy toys maybe books etc... if they workout.
