it’s so obvious these people have not been apart of the not-for-profit part of the art community because i have seen other disabled artists, ones with muscle issues, missing limbs, and all other kinds of issues create art. you find a way, you don’t use gen ai. i think able-bodied people forget that we have been finding ways to make our lives easier, and to do the things we want since the beginning of human inception. they just never saw it because disabled people are “lower” than them, when news flash buddy glasses are a disability aid that got popular enough bc of how many people get affected by eyesight. you just choose to ignore things like that because society hides us in the shadows unless we are too numerous for them to hide. like frida kahlo used a MIRROR ON HER CEILING to paint when she couldn’t get out of bed, like are you serious that disabled people need gen ai to create? that was even before computers, that was before stealing algorithms. disabled people have been able to create for all of time, they just don’t actually care about disabled people and think it’s a use case for smth that never needed their help in the first place. disabled people have been finding adaptations to feed their artistic souls forever, we don’t need a stealing algorithm to fucking make things. we don’t need gen ai to paint, to write our own books and to make our own music, because you can find a way no matter how much people think you can’t. hellen keller learned how to read and speak, how to write whole being both blind and deaf, so this excuse will always be bullshit. something positive to end my comment: phoenix’s art is gorgeous, and i am so happy to see her being outspoken in this video. i have muscle issues as well, not as severe at hers, but it can cause me pain from my elbow to my knuckles if i’m not careful, so seeing someone else adapt so well to make things beautiful while suffering more intense issues with muscles makes my heart happy. thank you for making a lot of the video be about their fake interest in disabled people’s ability to make art. that’s something a lot of people ignore because of the fact they’re able-bodied and don’t know anyone severely disabled, they think “maybe they’re right” when they’re wrong.
