But regardless on why people are willing to pay, you have to consider 1) a growing number of people is getting tired of f2p games, you can argue that as the older generation of gamers will “retire” newer generations will replace them, and is true for the gaming industry but not true for the money, especially considering that a growing number of baby boomers (which is the generation who owns the majority of money) is reluctant to give money to their children and instead spend that money for themselves. 2) I can always not play a game, I wonder if in your future will be able to afford to move elsewhere and I wonder if there will be an elsewhere of if it is going to spread globally. And 3) since I’ll be probably forced to live in your society with that premises, who will guarantee to me that they will offer my life for free?
