The thing that just boggles my mind is, if corporations succeed in turning all jobs automated, then where will the consumer get their money to buy products with? No job equals no income. A lot of people will say, Welfare! That is a hilarious misunderstanding of how welfare works. Welfare comes through taxes. Taxes are collected, largely, off a population's income. The rest from trade and other sources. But a populace is the bulk of it. If the populace suddenly has no money for products or to pay taxes, then that will leave a huge void in a government's income. Which will have a ripple affect. A vicious affect. Plus, no income, means no one is buying anything. Thus, corporations will go out of business.
These corporations are so blind they are rushing head-long into permanently putting themselves out of business. All for short term gains. What good will all of their money do them if the entire economy collapses without people paying taxes and corporations producing goods to support the country and trade with outside countries?
