As a programming student, this is luddite pearl clutching. Art didn't die when the camera was invented. Some people adapted to using a camera, and some others still kept making photorealistic paintings. Digital cameras now are straight improvement over traditional ones, but it hasn't made everyone with a camera an artist. Same with using Photoshop. The same will happen with AI, it will become a tool for artists, as it will for programmers. Embrace the future with open arms, or be dragged into it kicking and screaming.
