I find it weird that Yampolskiy supposes Bitcoin will still be around/valuable when super-intelligent AI becomes a thing. Sure, the supply is capped at 21M, but ownership is proven through a private key, which I expect AI to crack at some point. Either directly through new maths (less likely), or indirectly by engineering large enough quantum computers (more likely).
Am I missing something?
Could someone who understands this better give me some pointers?
