Poisoners rely upon essentially injecting unignorable resolution patterns into images so a resolver incorrectly resolves training noise into something it isn't. That is proven and works... but any extra layer of abstraction of resolution guidance completely ignores that ill intent. It takes more effort and processing power (read: "money") and that's why big tech is complaining. Aside from marginally higher cost of training though, poisoners have below statistically relevant effect on automated training. They have zero effect on manual batch training. They... don't work.
