I was not worried about AI gaining consciousness b/c I don't believe that's something humans can create. Thus, the fears that people had around this were not entirely merited. However, watching this video made me realize, AI doesn't need to gain consciousness. It will behave like a conscious being because it is programmed by conscious beings and retrieves data from conscious beings to mimic a human being. So, yes, it is something to fear and worry about because of US, humans.
