I think it's relatively true that Glaze/Nightshade will improve, and so will the scrapers, and then so will Glaze/Nightshade, and then so will the scrapers, etc. The difference I foresee is that Glaze/Nightshade are playing defense, and the AI have a goalpost: no longer necessitating human data for training. It's impossible to move that goalpost, so perhaps it's predictable that scrapers will reach the goal despite Glaze/Nightshade's efforts. This isn't intended to be a villainous statement, despite how it sounds, as i am also opposed to the same thing that Glaze and Nightshade are: _scraping as a practice._ I believe in having legal definitions for AI training data, building laws around those definitions, punishing bad actors who seek to circumvent or break those laws, etc. To that end, having Nightshade/Glaze is really great for slowing things down and allowing the legal system to catch up before it's too late. Where I might differ from many other people is that I think it's possible for AI generation and artistry to co-exist, we just need to introduce more ethical approaches to the advancement of this technology.
