Brilliant video, I've been wondering about this for a while so you've gained yourself a subscriber, thanks Dave. One question I have for you is should I focus on learning the theory behind programming rather than a rote learning specific programming language.
As someone who wants to get into software engineering, I have a good knowledge of the industry and computers in general, but haven't learned any code beyond a bit of python.
This makes me feel like I don't know enough to use an AI to generate effective code for my needs. I don't want to spend time learning basic Javascript for that knowledge to be made redundant by an LLM, how can someone not in the industry develop a future-proof knowledge to become an AI-assisted software engineer?
Would be keen to have any book recommendations, and I'll certainly be picking up your book as well.
