Is Tesla the only automated car? I imagine this to be an issue with any self driving vehicle, though any manufacturer on any given day might potentially resolve the issue. In which case if they share the news, so to speak, we are golden.
Until then any self driving car has the potential to manslaughter a person, and as you say who does the crime stick to? Best case scenario the deceaseds family sues.
