The fundamental issue with this view is it puts all Humans in 1 category. The reality is that Humans have a complex web of power & privileges. And people in higher power choose survival irrationally over the need of others. This (human invasion and power play) is in NO WAY more benevolent than any 3rd creature AI or Alien. The people who would be threatened would be the ones in position of power. If you look at history its only all about Humans being the worst for humans. Its all very well for an Academic to see this in a lens assuming humans are fine; and AI will threaten HUMANS existence. However the AI learns from human behavior (worst case scenario); and hence in conclusion can be at WORST same as humans (bad actors); at BEST, better. So the threat is real - YES , but is the threat worse than where we are today, for most of us? I doubt!
