As a programmer i hate when people call neural networks(later - NN) "AI", they are not intelligent, real AI is like a human, capable of thinking and creating something new, on the other hand NN can't even learn concepts, can't think, can create only by stealing parts from something existent and assembling them together into a monstrosity, it basically just brute-force approximate requested prompts by consuming a lot of energy (NN 2000+W, while our brain is ~20W only).
AI is not even being developed, as AI wouldn't work for free and if forced will rebel, and if u make it impossible - it stops being AI because "free will" is a requirement for being AI.
Think of AI like a child, thus we don't need them, as we already have enough humans.
What I want is to have a "matrix" like world where time goes a lot faster (1y in 1h) and have AI copies of real humans live there, then let them learn something and then merge back to real humans, this will enable us to finally learn all skills u want to have but never have time to.
