That's all true and all, but before AI image gen my only choice for illustrations was to pay for it, now, for simple cases, I can generate it for free.
I don't think that ais store copyrighted materials, but, just like humans, they can recreate it to some degree.
I do think you have all the rights to poison your art as a sort of DRM. I do think AI creators should have ask before processing images, because they weren't licensed to do so and it's a legal nightmare honestly. And there are artists who are fine with ai art and who would donate their art for free
