I'm pretty sure Lensa's use of Stable Diffusion is legal under their license (CreativeML Open RAIL-M)... It makes sense for the developers to do it - running the model takes a lot of resources, so if other devs couldn't ask for money in exchange for running a service using the model, they would basically be donating the resources to the public by releasing an app. Unfortunately this comes with the side effext of allowing predatory pricing schemes for companies who barely add anything to the original model. Thanks for the video! I mostly agreed with you in yesterday's video, and people keep making points on the artists' side that are nonsensical from a technical standpoint, which doesn't help their case. (For example, the watermarks are a *symptom* of AIs using copyrightes images, which we already knew, so it isn't really an argument at all...) However, I have since read posts by actual artists which bring up new and interesting points, and I have realised that there are very valid arguments (that don't come from ignorance with regards to the technology) to be had against AI. Basically, I'm a nerd who loves the tech and wants to see it improve, but also doesn't want to hurt artists
