My thoughts from this video;
● "Universal Basic Income will be necessary for a lot of people who lose their jobs and it'll stop them starving, they'll be able to pay the rent" - so people just enough to survive and only "rent" as opposed to mortgage then, grand plan?
● All those people who become unemployed. They used to pay taxes... where's the money going to come from?" - AI companies won't want to pay. Taxing AI's will just mean offloading the cost to the customers, making the AI more expensive so less usage and less money for UBI.
● "But there's going to be more jobs created." - I'm not so sure about that, this time.
I believe AI companies and their VC backers will want to hold and control the money, ultimately have public and private only rent homes, offices and whatnot from them 🕳
