so, these big rig trucks are already the behemoths of the highways, and now you talk about "platooning"? So, we already have problems with trucks with drivers blocking lanes, how will it be when they are driverless trucks taking up multiple lanes and not allowing passenger vehicles to pass them? it will create even more road rage and thus dangerous conditions that the now discourteous driving habits of the trucks that do the "slow pass" when one truck goes 1 or 2 mph faster than the truck in the right lane, so you are stuck behind the se slow truck for miles...
This will lead to a dystopian scenario, where godless, but intelligent criminals will invent ways to hack into these trucks control systems to drive them off the highway and crash them to get them out of the way, or to hijack them and steal their cargo...
