Final thoughts - yes. Those poison attacks should actually result in change of AI companies.
Like I remember earlier in this tech history after the first boom the AI training databases started getting a huge inflow of samples that were in turn AI generated. And they started degrading the overall AI generated image quality quite rapidly. So the companies had to implement some curation process. And so if influx of poisoned art will impact the generated image quality, this should also trigger a response change in curation policy... Though sadly if nightshade is being flagged as AI generated, this means that quite likely those poison peices are going to get discarded by the same process that prevents AI from learning from other AI images... So it might not actually get the effect you aim for.
Also when I saw your video title my first reaction was - is it about how bots monitor social networks for comments like "I wish I had a t-shirt with that art" and automatically steal it and put it on a t-shirt... So people started making images like "Don't buy here this store sell stolen art" in a fancy font and flooding it with that trigger comments so those shops exposed themselves automatically... Which was such a delightful story to read.
