I agree and disagree. A bad taste art productions existed since way before the AI was invented. I hate Picaso and some other famous artists whose art is repulsive to my taste. Midjourney AI is capable of creating new concept art. Art which is not a copy of anyone's art. Sadly not all who are using AI are very creative and some are not artistic at all but like to use AI anyway. A truly creative person will get stunning results. In which case it will be original art. Your ideas done with latest technology. What is Art and what defines an Artist?? My friend use to sell her paintings at Victoria Market to make a living. Paints stink and need time to dry. With her knowledge and talent, why can't she use an AI to make beautiful prints which can be sold for the money? What is wrong with that? Nothing. It is her choice. People will buy it if they like it.
