I feel like at least in America when a critical mass of people suffering from unemployment will build up the government will eventually cater to this mass of people since a very large proportion of them have guns. If people are desperate the prospect of armed revolts becomes very real - the government would likely step in to prevent that scenario even at the cost of the lost tax revenue from AI firms
