They are farmore basic than they will need to be as they cannot realize the experience of touch which is critically important to taking in the world that we live. I would also be interested in thier sense of sight and distinguishing the differences between animate and inanimate objects, in other words do they respond to statues of do they recognize living creatures. Their mobility is also a critical aspect, in their current form they have to learn to walk in a bipedal manner and that is not easy. If they are to replace us in the work force how do we earn money? Do we have to buy one and send it off to work. I think the notion that they replace us in the work force both physical and conversational is a real fear. Corporations would buy them directly for their work force. What are we to do fold into poverty or do we go on vacation and the US monetary system pays us somehow? If they are all joined in a cloud anyone could use them to build product, but how do we buy a robot if we've been put out of a job. These scientist are only worried about how much money they will amass not us.
