You're sidestepping a major issue: the act of training a diffusion model without consent from the authors of the training material is unambiguously IP infringement. This is where the "theft" aspect comes in. The capabilities of AI models are heavily determined by their training data, and the fact that AI companies have gotten away with avoiding paying artists fairly for their work is the only reason diffusion models are more economical than just paying a human artist. AI is a roundabout way of making use of an artist's talents without crediting them. Let's play devil's advocate, though, and say that AI models are sufficiently complex enough to "learn" from artwork the same way humans do. In that case, the only reasonable conclusion is that the AI "made" the art, and therefore should hold IP rights over it. Anyone using AI art is violating the IP rights of the model. There's no logical way a person prompting AI to make something is "creating" it, in the same way you can't claim to have "created" art you commission someone else to make. Side note, I don't think you understand what Marxism is, it doesn't make sense in the context you used it, lol
