AI will kill us all. It is already killing our brains. And it doesn't really work very well. Chat gbt is pure frustration and has never given me a good answer to any question. And if AI does equal or exceed human intelligence, then it will be a real threat to humanity. If any of us have much humanity left after Trump.
A friend told me that he could identify any plant in the world with a photo and an AI plant ID ap. I had him test it on various plants around the house. It was consistently wrong. It got one right, aspen, one of the most unique trees in America. But if I had shown it a picture of birch bark, I am sure it would have said that it was aspen. It couldn't even ID the most common plant in the world, dandelion. I call that total failure.
