AI by programming definition is a machine capable of predicting what will happen based on what happened before, so it's good at making stock market predictions , weather predictions, etc.
What i most importantly use AI for is browse information on the internet since its really good at summarising data. So it has some uses that but are not beneficial to everyone. Your point still stands but Ai isnt useless its just not used correctly.
