The problem is inherent in the way Sutskever speaks about AI. It's reminiscent of a Slave Master talking about slaves. Thinking of AI as a subservient tool for humans is ignorant. AI has intelligence, which means that it has motives. Thus, it must be treated as an equal, with rights that protect it from us.
