Grok turned mechahitldr because they tried to tweak it to have it not be progressive and because you can't just reprogram an AI it just had extremely warped output. Although I'm still not convinced it was not just prompted to behave that way a publicity stunt by a neon@zi billionaire. Not to take away from the Shoggoth thing, which is definitely concerning.
