Even if in ten years most companies decided to just hire a couple of SEs and let them use AI to do their work that doesn’t cut from the value that a computer science or a software engineering graduate have. I’m sure they’ll be able to pivot to positions like systems engineer, data engineer or cloud engineer to be more specific. Math graduates didn’t become obsolete after the advent of the first scientific calculator lol. Yes, ai will inevitably revolutionize basically every industry but new roles and tasks will be created.
