Consider a “while loop” in computer programming, which tracks AI’s ambition, and stops once the AI is satisfied/successful at accomplishing its task… at what point does AI stop evolving? What measurable milestones can we build into AI that will determine how AI limits its own evolution? I think this is the critical part to get right. We can program ai in ways that allow it to be more intelligent than us but still under our control, collaborating with us in it’s own evolution in controlled increments under our version control.
