Robots will never take over, that's Isaac Asimov 20thC. I work in one of the most sophisticated robotics plants and when their task is done, they shut down. Same with the bollux about the AI UAV that 'killed' it's controller.
Where AI will destroy civilization is through mimicry, a mental-emotional level of an 8th grader. Over time, autonomous AI chanbel-docents in the uncountable millions, will reduce knowledge and intellectual thought to the same 8th-grade level that it scrapes off the inter-media.
Children will completely lose the ability for independent thought. There is even an AI servicel that takes over writing and producing your channel, by following the 'hot' topics with the most influencer $'s payouts.
The only thing 'real' is the static image of your face, _but that too can be AI-generated._
