The difficult truth is, the automobile put the horse and buggy out of business. As we embrace new technologies, there is always a downside. We retired those horses and retrained the buggy driver, because cars made more sense. Autonomous vehicles are the future of transportation. Eventually, they will be perfected and able to operate with more efficiency and greater safety than human drivers. It's understandable some have concerns, but those concerns will be resolved over time. The technology will become reliable and safe and the workers will retrain and move on. The transition is the difficult part. I understand the frustration of drivers of both the horse and buggy and the automobile, but they cannot hold back progress.
