If you're in the tech industry and over 40, you will not get an interview from anyone who uses AI tools. The only people who will ever call you back are the companies that when you ask say "Oh yeah, no we don't believe in using AI screening". It's absolutely 100% age and other forms of discrimination, but black-boxed up so everyone can claim they didn't know. You can be the most perfect candidte for the job, with experience for every single point they're looking for, and you will get instantly rejected before a human has had time to look.
Meanwhile, companies who use humans to screen will see your experience and be desperate to arrange an interview with you and realise how lucky they are to get the chance to hire you.
The stark contrast in behaviour makes it clear that it's not people genuinely being rejected, it's purely the effect of idiotic companies unwilling to actually look at the people the AI is rejecting to see if it's doing a good job or not.
