This shouldn’t be a lesson in disregarding statistics. This should be a lesson in slowing the progress of machine learning, in ALL applications. There is nothing discriminatory about citing statistics, or feeding them to an AI, the issue is that we as humans know that correlation doesn’t equal causation, & these algorithms do not.
