I don't know much about self driving cars yet, but I assume they are mostly looking for the lines on the road to stay on their lane, which is neat because they are already a part of the infrastructure. But here in Finland, the roads are covered in snow for a large part of the year, would these cars need a new way to detect lanes to operate here during the winter? We've also started to repaint all lines on roads in white instead of white/yellow, I wonder if that has something to do with this or is there some other reason. Automation and other innovations in travelling / logistics if definitely interesting!
