Geoffrey Hinton's last remark was of the kind of left-field thinking I struggle to imagine AI ever making. It was nonsensical and outlandish but each of the hosts reacted to it identically and immediately, and he knew why. That remark took a type of thinking, and an understanding of other minds, that I wonder if AI could ever possess. Imitate, perhaps, possess - I'm not yet convinced. Fingers crossed! :¬|
